The Woden region was the first ‘satellite city’ of Canberra to be built, and was established in the 1960s. Incorporating a major shopping centre, known as Woden Plaza, a number of Commonwealth Government departments and the Canberra Hospital, Woden consists of twelve suburbs and is also home to a large diplomatic community.
The property in the valley varies from ultra-modern designer townhouses and large residences to good solid brick family homes, right through to old and new-style apartments
Suburbs in Woden include Chifley, Curtin, Farrer, Garran, Hughes, Isaacs, Lyons, Mawson, O’Malley, Pearce, Phillip and Torrens
